Looking for $1500 laptop for games and school

Hey guys, today I'm Looking for $1500 laptop for gaming and school and willing to go up slightly ($1700 max).

On this, I hope to be able to play Destiny 2 and GTA V Online at 30 fps medium settings. I will also do photoshop. 

I am also looking for it to be thin-ish, max at 15.6" and about 3-4 pounds will be ok (Don't want it to look like a gaming laptop)

would like a 4k screen but not mandatory

core i7 preferred.

I know a lot of people like the GS65 stealth for their gaming laptops, looks really good. That or a Dell XPS.

Take a look at the Dell G series laptops, they tend be be pretty good bang for the buck.

You can get an 8th gen i7 and 1060 6 GB 16 GB ddr4 and 256GB SSD/ 1 TB 5400 HDD for $1230.

They have a bigger back vent and different colour logo/ keyboard back light then a run of the mill Dell but they aren't super gamery looking with tons of RGB and aggressive design.

 

I've got a 7th gen Intel one and it doesn't look too out of place in an office full of Dells unless you know what to look for. I do wish the keyboard back light was able to switch to white instead of red but ahh well.

You could get a Dell like suggested before, and I'm sure it would be fine. But the first thing that caught my eye about your post is that you want the laptop to be 3-4 pounds. This Dell, which is quite good for the price, is about 6 pounds. Is that okay for you?

 

Keep in mind that lighter laptops usually have a harder time cooling.

 

You could also go for a Razer like this one. It comes in at about 4 pounds. But it will look kind of like a gaming laptop.

i would take the hp omen line up becouse there pretty affordable
