GTX690 only 1 GPU??

I've been playing around with an old GTX690 and it seems to only be using one GPU, when running Kombustor GPU 1 gets up to around 80% load but GPU 2 stays flat at 2%, I know these cards are old now and are unusual in having 2 gpus on one unit (don't even think about telling me to check the SLI bridge :)), but if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

Make sure whatever you are using can use two GPUs

Guys thanks but this is going to blow your minds, the GTX 690 has two GPUs on one card, there is no SLI :o

 

i'm using MSI Afterburner and Kombuster along with other utilites like GPUZ, i'm not running any games, i'm trying to work out if the card to fubar. 

 

Ive attached a pic, you can see I have two instances of GPUZ running just to show the loads on the two GPUs, i've not applied any overclocking to the card.

Not every game can use 2 graphics compute units. The graphics card doesn't merge both GPUs to be seen as one in games, it just acts like SLI

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Good point, I checked the control panel, and there is no SLI option, I've tried both options under multi gpu but no change. I'm wondering if its not compatable with the motherboard or something now?? Its on a Asus - P6X58-E with a i7 750 :dry:

The Maximize 3d performance is the "SLI" settingand it is enabled. That makes me think that Kombuster isn't supporting the dual GPU setup. After doing a bit of reading, it looks like it you have have to run it in full screen but that may not work either. I would find a game with known SLI support and try that.

this is going to blow your mind but yeah , it still uses sli to run two gpu's

again if you aren't using an sli enabled program then gpu 2 isn't going to do anything

fair one, I assumed that being as msi showed the load and temp of both cpus it would be able to test them both.

A GTX 690 is basically two way SLI GK104 GTX 680s on one card, rather than spread across two cards and a bridge.

Ok so i've learnt some stuff, but still no joy...

 

Updated sli profiles - No change

Changed SLP profile for Kombustor - No change

Removed and reinstalled all nvida drivers and software - No change 

Tested with Crysis - Didn't load just got a blank black screen had to power cycle pc 

Tested with PUBG - Got black screen but could hear intro music, had to power cycle pc

Tested with DOTA and noticed that the second GPU went up to 7% utilisation while the first GPU was at 80% (worked in full screen, when switched to windowed screen went blank had to powercycle pc)
