my friend bought a unfinished pc off of facebook for cheap and it came with a evga 1050ti and sad thing is the card prevents your pc from booting up when you have it in your pc your pc turns on then shuts straight off it has done it with multiple computers and the card looks very clean not even scorch marks on the board now is it possible to revive this card as it looks to be brand new

There are some methods of reflashing the bios on a card without using windows programs, as long as you can fit two cards into your PC at once. One to run the PC, and the other to get flashed. You just need display output to be able to run your programs from a memory stick as far as I recall.

I did it a few months back with an old AMD card, which I foolishly bricked myself a few years ago, but I vowed never to delve into such things again, and have forgotten the specifics of the operation :(

Can you not simply RMA it to the manufacture as a dead card?

How? How is it not under warranty? It's an EVGA card with a 3 year. The 1050ti isn't that old yet!

its not really worth contacting him he spent 20 dollars and he also got a working z77 motherboard from asrock from the deal

Contact EVGA anyway, give them the serial number of the card and if you're lucky they'll accept it for RMA.
