so i have a rca cable plugged into the speaker connect to the computer.....to a headphone audio jack.. thats always been working..

next u have the interface where i plug in the usb ... to the computer

then i have the line out puts plugged into the interface (both rca cables) ... then it plugs into the speaker... to the balance out put (a trs cable)

everything fits right.. but ... i feel as if something is not working and not suppost to be like this.. and expect at least better/decent quality of sound but im not getting that either.

1) what interface is it

2) your explanation doesn't really make any sense, the speakers don't have outputs they have inputs, only the interface has output.

3) If your interface only outputs RCA then you need to use an RCA to RCA cable to plug it into your monitors.

Plugging RCA into a balanced input on the speakers is not good.

If your interface has TRS then you can use a TRS to TRS cable to plug into the monitors.

Ok there are MANY things wrong there...

First of all, unplug the RCA form your computer's headphone jack. You should not have your interface AND your PC plugged into the speakers.

The interface is already plugged into the PC.

Second, use RCA to RCA cables to plug the interface into the speakers.

Do not use the balanced TRS input.

The front are inputs, not outputs.

You cannot plug speakers into there.

To use TRS to TRS you need an interface with balanced output, which yours does not have.

Are you getting static when the speaker is only plugged using RCA to the audio interface?

You need to use an RCA to RCA cable for each speaker.

I already told you that RCA to TRS will not work correctly.

Image result for rca to rca cable

One cable goes to one speaker, the other to the other speaker.

Then it will work properly.

The 2i2 and higher models all have balanced output.

It's only the scarlett solo that doesn't.

You don't need TRS though, once you use the proper cables you will have no problems.
