So currently trying to install a x470 board into my be quiet Pure base 600 case and I just got to the io shield and something I've noticed is that it has a little bit of material between inside and out? Looks like some Silver/Black soft material? Am I supposed to remove something from the io shield?

Most have a foam with metalized shielding, when you install the board you push back towards the IO shield to compress the foam.

Ah so i dont have to remove anything. Thanks. Motherboard feels real secure to the thing. Hard to remove if I had to.

Sadly only the higher end boards come with the foamy stuff, the cheaper Boards still come with the pressed metal sheet thingy...

I really do not like those much...

Just another thing. The motherboard seemed to have come with some adapter for hdd lights Power reset etc buy looks like it just rises the connections. Is it necessary?

That's just a quick connector so it groups all the little dupont connector into a single block if you remove and install them often, it's not necessary and you can directly connect them to the board individually.

No, its an optional part that helps you assemble the connectors to the helping bracket, outside of the case, so that you can put it onto the Board with everything connected.

I know it all too well...

But that's not the only Issue I have with them. They are sharp, they are flimsy, they don't look good. There is just nothing positive to say about the pressed metal sheet things from an end user perspective...
