OuterVision suggests: EVGA 600W BQ 80+ BRONZE Power Supply, Semi Modular, 3 Year Warranty - Available at Amazon worth 60$

My vendor suggests me FSP Group 700W ATX Power Supply Single 1U Size 80 PLUS Platinum Certified for Rack Mount Case Industrial Grade PC (FSP700-80UEPB), worth 345$

Which one to choose???

I suggest a EVGA SuperNova G2 like 750W, costs like 80-90 bucks and will last you a very long time

India.

My work is 24/7 heavy simulations and rendering.

Also, is the motherboard ASUS PRIME X399-A is more than required for my configuration(above).

Thanks

the EVGA BQ is a low end unit..it's too cheap i wouldn't buy it.

i would agree with @ZeouLs i would go with a EVGA G2 series 80+ gold 750W unit they are top notch PSU's and they won't brake the bank!

Apples and oranges.

Same as asking why anyone would choose a Xeon 8180 instead of a G4560. They're not really comparable.

Did everyone fail to notice that the "suggested" PSU is a 1U?  You guys do realize that 1U and ATX power supplies aren't interchangeable, right?  You can't cram an ATX PSU in a 1U chassis.

OP:  The recommendations made by Outervision are advertisements.  They are paid for.  They give you a "recommendation", you click to buy and they get paid.  That's their business model.

As for what PSU you actually "need", what is your chassis?  Are you really building this in a 1U chassis?

The FSP700-80UEPB is a very good PSU, and like most quality server units is very expensive.

I was gonna say, I knew something was up when it suggested something for a rack mount.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

RLY?
You want a 650€ processor with a 300€ Board and then save money on the PSU?

Äh, no..

Get a real one, a decent one that's worth powering those components, not some cheap garbage...

Both Units are shit, one because its cheap crap that will kill your things, the ohter because its not the right size...

A good one would be a be quiet Straight Power 11, 750W because of the TWO CPU COnnectors that the 650W and lower does not have.

And that is one of the things you should look for: having two CPU Connectors. Or at least the Option (for example Cougar GX-F, though you have to order a second cable)

With a decent GPU and no OC (because it looks like a productive system, wher OC is the worst one can think of), a good quality 550W is still enough. But a 750W can make sense because of the needed connectors.
