Is this PSU good for my pc?

Hi, here are my specs:

CPU: Intel i5-8600k 

MOTHERBOARD: GIGABYTE Z370P D3 LGA 1151


GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 WINDFORCE OC 8GB 


RAM: 16GB DDR4 Ram 2400mhz


Storage: 256GB SSD 
1TB HDD

500GB SSD 


Operating System: Windows 10 Home

 

Power supply: Thermaltake TR2 600W ATX 12 V2.3

So I am wondering if my power supply is good enough for my system and will run with no problems. Thanks for the help!

That PSU is crap. 600W is plenty, but get a unit not made of papier-mâché. A Corsair TX550M, EVGA G2/G3 550W, Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 550W, Bitfenix Whisper/Formula Gold, etc.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it. 

My system: PCPartPicker || For Corsair support tag @Corsair Josephor @Corsair Nick || My 5MT Legacy GT Wagon ||

Try getting an EVGA 550w G2.

It will be enough.

I could get that but just for curiosity what would be like a step up from that PSU I think I might go for something 600W

That's a very high budget that will accommodate literally every PSU I mentioned.

You could get an evga 650w g3 last time I saw it , it was for 90$

Quick question: If I get a new PSU, is it just a plug everything in and turn on pc and everything will work? I wont have to install or touch anything????

Of those? Eh, they're all comparable but the Bitfenix Whisper is probably the best? Just get whichever is cheaper for you man.

Plug the PSU into the wall, plug the modular cables in the correct way (the end that plugs into the PSU will be labeled) and plug the other ends into your hardware (SATA SSDs, HDDs, GPUs, 24-pin and 4+4 pin, you're all set).

Uhm the EVGA 650w g2 is cheaper would that also be good for my pc and better then EVGA 550w G2??

Yes, but the G3 is more compact if your case can not fit the g2.

I found the 650g3 in a local store for 90$

and I found a 550 g2 for 70$

It seemed like a good deal so I bought them both.
