I still have my old 3770k with a p8z77-I deluxe and 16 gigabyte RAM kit. I want use it in a htpc. I want to buy a graphics card new or used that would be great for 4K video watching and connectivity to my 4K TV. I will not be gaming on this system. I was thinking something like that 1060 or 1050ti or something along those lines. Really just to push the higher resolution that my CPU cannot handle on its own. So whatever graphics card can handle 4K60hz output.

What small form-factor GPU do you recommend? I don't have a case in mind yet but I would want a compact case with decent airflow and functionality

The GT1030 GDDR5 supports up to 8K ouputs (total, so you could theoretically run two 4K monitors at 60hz). You'll need to purchase a model that has HDMI 2.0 on it though in order to use it with a TV, as not every GT1030 has the same video output connections on the back of it. Personally I would get one with both HDMI and DP on it, as the DVI connector will be mostly useless to you

Thank you guys all for your input. I think I'm going to go with the 1030 I found one that has both DisplayPort and HDMI which would be nice if I wanted to use it as a secondary PC as well

Here is where I would keep my frolics if I had any.
