How does water cooling works?

There is a water block which touches the CPU, a metal block with fins through which the water flows and transfer heat away from the CPU.

This water is circulated with a pump through a radiator which is cooled with fans. So ambient air flows through the fins of the radiator and this cooled water is warmed by the CPU block. And then cooled in the radiator. And so on...
