Intel 4 gen. vs 8 gen.

Hello, I have a setup like this:

  • CPU: Intel 4470k
  • Ram: 16gb DDR3
  • SSD: Kingston 120GB
  • HHD: 2TB.
  • GPU: Nvidia Asus 1050ti Dual Channel.

I wanna know if i have to migrate to a newer model of CPU or with I have, is ok ?

Only you can really answer that. Are you having issues with your current hardware?
Also, the 4470k doesn't exist. So. Unless you have something classified, hard to say either way ;)

If you were to upgrade, you should wait until 9th gen. I believe (I may be wrong) that gen will have in-silicon spectre and meltdown mitigations.

And on the first day god said: "Cue one GO" And there was light!

I'd upgrade that GPU. I'm still rolling with my 2600k, 16GB DDR3 and an SSD, but I've got a 1080Ti that runs everything on max with enough fps for my 100hz monitor. These old CPUs still have a fair bit of life left in them.
