Changing Windows product key.

RedShank

Hey Guys,

So I would like to do a clean installation of Windows 10 Pro on my laptop MSI GE63 8RF-099ca

The things I did was use Windows Media Creation Tool.

But the problem is during install the screen where we put the product key just don't appear. It just install the Windows 10 Home that I have on my laptop.

Is it because my laptop already had the Windows 10 Home OEM embedded on the motherboard memory?

Also I have a Volume License Key, bought from some site. Is it possible to get a consumer key (RETAIL KEY)?

why would you want the PRO version? the Home edition cover 99% of people

if you do a clean install of Windows 10 home it will ask for a home key

Can you download the Windows 10 pro .ISO direct from Microsoft?

What are these for?

It might only let you install home because you used this.

Almost correct.

It's because you have key in bios.

And no matter if you get iso or use existing USB key - if you have correct version of Windows and you have key in bios - screen with product key request don't appear.

Good luck.
