Changed hardware now what

So I turned my R5 1600x into my TR 1950x I used the same hardware and disk setup from it with windows already installed so it seems fine but it still thinks its a 1600x by system name and when I went to my microsoft account it also thinks its the R5 how to I convert it over to the new system  I have the install drive and key from when I installed it onto the 1600x do I need to reinstall fresh and if so will it take the key

If the key is registered to your Microsoft account, it should transfer over no problem. I always recommend a fresh install when switching platforms. Believe me, it solves pretty much 99% of the issues people face after doing that.

It does not give me any options as its already activated it just shows as my previous rig under my account

Tried to just reenter the key it worked fine but still shows as the previous rig

You just plug your HDD/SSD and everythin runs fine, including your license key (you have microsoft account).

Any additional informations will be probably updated soon when automatic activation check time comes.

System name, like experience index in win7 or stuff like that, is not important. It's just information that is not related to real computer speed. You have new processor and you can check if it works in every program, including device manager.

 

BTW.. "System name" - you mean computer name? It's completely irrelevant.
