What GPU to buy?

So, I have started purchasing items for my upcoming build, I've already bought a motherboard, power supply, cpu cooler [kraken x52], case  [nzxt h500 black/red], and I've decided that I will also buy an i7-8700k but I still cannot decide on a GPU. Looking for something that can handle games like: Witcher 3, Elex... at 1440p Ultra/high settings. What are your suggestions?

Just like every other post ,1080 ti or wait for rtx 2080/ti benchmarks.

GTX 1080 Ti, obviously. If you're a baller, RTX 2080 Ti.

 

Specifically Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080 Ti 11GB or Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme Edition 11GB are good 1080 Tis to consider.

if u didnt know, the 8 core's coming out in less than a month, 1440p and what refresh rate

rumors indicate yes, also some screenshot of the cpu-z of 8 cores running at 5.5ghz, 1.5v though
