Windows SSD from Laptop Not accessible on different computer

orbofshingeki

Evening all,

I have a asus x555d with a 256gb ssd in it.

There was an update and it froze. Upon restarting the laptop, it went to a black desktop with nothing but the recycle bin. It gave this error message.

I was able to access the SSD from another computer and copied the desktop file from default in the local disk and copied it to system 32/config folder. Still no luck.

I tried running windows recovery through a disc and now it won't boot at all and now i cannot access the harddrive from another computer.

I also tried to change permissions to make the drive see the computer it's plugged in as the owner and it still is denied.

Please Help.

Thank you.
