Posted August 28, 2018 Hi! What is the smallest motherboard that has support for 5 NVMe drives? I know that for example the Gigabyte GA-Z170X-SOC FORCE board supports 3 NVMe drives. I also know that there are solutions like the ASUS HYPER M.2 X16 CARD that gives your motherboard 4 NVMe drives. But what is the smallest motherboard that can fit 5 (or more) NVMe drives? Thanks! Posted August 28, 2018 No board exists with more than 3 IIRC, you'll have to get a Hyper M.2 or something CPU: Core i9 12900K || CPU COOLER : Corsair H100i Pro XT || MOBO : ASUS Prime Z690 PLUS D4 || GPU: PowerColor RX 6800XT Red Dragon || RAM: 4x8GB Corsair Vengeance (3200) || SSDs: Samsung 970 Evo 250GB (Boot), Crucial P2 1TB, Crucial MX500 1TB (x2), Samsung 850 EVO 1TB || PSU: Corsair RM850 || CASE: Fractal Design Meshify C Mini || MONITOR: Acer Predator X34A (1440p 100hz), HP 27yh (1080p 60hz) || KEYBOARD: GameSir GK300 || MOUSE: Logitech G502 Hero || AUDIO: Bose QC35 II || CASE FANS : 2x Corsair ML140, 1x BeQuiet SilentWings 3 120 || LAPTOP: Dell XPS 15 7590 TABLET: iPad Pro PHONE: Galaxy S9 She/they
 Posted August 28, 2018 Natively the Z370 Taichi comes close at 4. However any MATX board coupled with the ASUS Hyper card will give you 5+ "And I'll be damned if I let myself trip from a lesser man's ledge"
 Posted August 28, 2018 Why not just buy a PCIe extender card? You can get this one from newegg.com. Main goal is to get 5 NVMe's in the smallest package possible. A Mini ITX board with 1 NVMe + 1 Hyper M.2 might be the smallest solution so far.
