Why isn't this already a thing!?

Decent? Eh, IDK. Aesthetics are good but performance isn't great and it's missing some obvious stuff (OP, ability to turn off notifications for particular statuses, etc.)

Whatever the reason it's still missing some pretty basic features (oh also bbcode and GIF support)

One step at a time. Once you can follow/unfollow a status, then we can think about stuff like that. IPS have shown no interest in paying any attention to statuses though.
