Hi, I wanna share my joy :) My latest successful HACKINTOSH build using Intel Core i7-4770 into hardly modded Apple PowerMac G4 case running latest MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6. Geekbench and Cinebench Scores included.

Video of this build with scores is here:

Components used:

- Intel Core i7-4770
- Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H-A motherboard
- 16GB Kingston HyperX 1600 MHz
- 450W power supply
- MSI Nvidia GeForce GT 1030 2GH OC
- Arctic Cooler 11 LP CPU cooler - Installation & Review in this build:

I also modded the front panel to be able to power on the machine and light up the power button.

Not bad, not bad. Every attempt at Hackintosh I've ever done has been a disaster. Even with hardware that should be a breeze to work on. So many minor issues that will take forever learning and editing DSDT files, I just give up half the time.

Don't give up. It's quite easy, you'll get into it quickly.

Honestly, the Power Mac G4 and G5 cases are drop dead gorgeous. Have a like.

Agree. And imagine G3/4 cases are about 18 years old. G5 is I think from 2005. The airflow is top level. Where are the PC cases still today...

G3 is turning 20 in a few months; the first G5s hit 15 this year.

first G3 B/W came in 1999, first G4 in 2000 and PowerMac G4 Quicksilver came in 2001. And first G5 in 2003.
