I have a Storinator from 45 Drives running ESXI 6.5.0 that I seem to keep having a couple issues with the hardware raid cards. We keep losing drives that will show offline to the raid controller and once removed and connected to another computer the drive has nothing wrong with it. We can wipe the drive and re-insert it into the server without issue. Is there a way to see what drive is having issues without rebooting to the raid controller?

All hardware is new and the 45 drive server had the back-plane replaced.

Specs

OS:  ESXI 6.5.0

CPU: 2x Intel Xeon E5-2667 v4 @ 3.20GHz

RAM: 768 GB

Raid Controller: Avago

Raid: 15x - 10TB, 15x - 8TB, 15x 5TB

Stock raid cards with batteries direct from 45 drives and the server was re-cabled by 45 drives as we had additional issues when we first got it.  We got the proper driver package installed on esxi for the raid cards and can now see the failed drives.

We were able to get all production servers moved off of it last night just in time to lose another drive. Really don't understand why the drives keep "failing".

At this time two are showing foreign raid configuration and one is showing as a unrecognized drive...

How could 13 new drives fail within a two weeks of having a new server..
