Onedrive...

Car712

Ok so, as many of you who also have Windows 10 may know, Microsoft is REALLY pushing you to sign into your microsoft account, which I will never do, as I value my privacy, however this certain application 'Onedrive' is getting to be very annoying and I am looking for a way to disable it. Basically what happens is, whenever my computer goes to sleep, disconnects from the internet, or I just reboot it, this same message comes up about Onedrive not having Internet access. I dont care if it has internet access or not, I DONT USE IT. Is there a way to possibly just disable it, or remove it, so that it stops with these messages? And yes, it also has a message every so often about me signing into Onedrive Microsoft account, even if I am connected to the internet, which is also very annoying...

And no, quitting it does no good when I restart my computer atleast.

You can actually uninstall it from "Apps and Features", if it's on startup you can disable it via task manager.

there's a registry key to remove it from windows explorer as well...

Here's the path and the key you change (to zero):

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT > CLSID > {018D5C66-4533-4307-9B53-224DE2ED1FE6}
    System.IsPinnedToNameSpaceTree = "0"

I took this out of my notes; but please google this to confirm what I'm saying is 100% correct especially since this key is not really human-interpretable as "oh that's the one drive thing" by just looking at it.
