Sd card vs usb

I am runing 24 x 7 Linux system on soc(processor) it can boot from sd card and from usb (no hdd option).

Which one has more lifespan and reliably

task  will read and write massive times in a day

Best would be to get an external hdd for "massive read an write operations".

You can get external hdds that connect to usb port, and they will last much longer than sd cards and usb sticks.

There is no option for hdd

You cant use an external hdd, that is pretty much an usb stick? Then an external ssd.

Not worth cost.....too costly

Flash memory (sd cards, usb sticks) have a very limited write capacity, so if you write 100gb a day to them they die fast.

My soc with power supply and os in sd card cost around 60$ with total power of 50watts it run NAS in linux i only need little storage (not even 50gb) and a 1tb cost like 45$ 75% of soc and i only need to run 2years continues later change storage.

I want to know that usb drive have better lifespan than sd cards?

If you get an Samsung usb drive them yes, those use ssd technology instead of flash.
