Audio not Working after Reinstall

I had to reinstall Windows because of some issues I was having.  I have reinstalled it, and have most of my stuff.  When I went to watch a YouTube video because I was bored, I noticed that when I plugged my headphones in, nothing came up from Realtek asking me what device I had just plugged in.  I put my headphones into the front panel and mobo connectors but neither worked.  I then clicked the little up arrow in the bottom right corner to see if the little speaker was there, but it wasn't.

Specs:

  • Windows 10 Home 64bit
  • i7-6700K
  • MSI Z170A Gaming M5
  • HyperX Fury 16GB (2x8) DDR4-2400
  • Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 6GB G1 Gaming
  • Hyper 212 EVO
  • EVGA 650GQ 80+Gold 650W
  • OWC Mercury 120GB SSD (drive with OS)
  • Samsung 850EVO 250GB
  • Toshiba 2TB HDD (don't know the specific model number, got it out of box)

Did you try to reinstall the audio drivers manually?

That is an issue.

You need audio drivers to run audio, yes it would be.

I've installed it and device manager says the drivers are up to date, but its still not playing audio out of either place.

You installed the drivers straight from your motherboard manufacturers website?

No.  Because it didn't say that the drivers were not up to date, I didn't bother.  I'm downloading them now (from MSI's website).
