Which VR headset should I get?

Go to solution Solved by trufret,

The rift or vive (with deluxe audio strap) will give you a better overall VR experience where it will do everything well.

The Vive Pro is stupidly over priced for the resolution bump it provides.

WMR HMD aren't bad for the price but they have tracking limitations that can get annoying beyond cockpit type games and you need a separate headset and mic for all but the Samsung and built in Bluetooth or a dongle for the controller for all of them.

Why they couldn't include a $20 dongle or build it into the headset is beyond me for the trouble it causes for new people.

If you can get the Samsung WMR at a decent price it's definitely the best one as the resolution is the same as the Vive pro but it has the same tracking problems as all other WMR HMDs.

If you can run it, get something higher end. You won't get a fair experience out of the cheap low end stuff.

I have a Vive and love it.

I'd go with the Vive. Mind you the new one doesn't include controllers or light houses (yet).
