Cheap solution for nas server?

Hi,

 

 

Can this be used as a good Nas server:

Yea they work fine but there are definitely advantages to hardware raid over software raid.

There are also advantages to filesystem-level RAID over hardware-RAID.

This is gonna have to be pretty beffy then. 

 

Id look into a dual lga 2011 setup. Look for a used system on ebay, and a dell r720 if you want a nice 2u system.

 

How much storage do you need?
