How little is too little vram

So, I'm searching for a good budget laptop. And I've come across many laptops with a 1050 or ti with 2 gb. It doesn't seem like much does it. Compared to most cards which are eight gigs. I know it's extremely hard to just judge how much you'd need without knowing exactly what you're doing.

I'd be using the laptop for light games, like minecraft(I know, what are we five?) it would be a lot of internet browsing really, I don't play many games but I want a laptop that doesn't lag or take five minutes to boot.

So now that I really think about it, would two gigs be good? For light games like minecraft and solitaire? I'm not doing any video editing or anything too extreme.
