by not worrying about it. I hate that they did a video on this...it's such a non-issue in 90% of cases, but people are freaking out about it

literally any consumer GPU out there will not restrict the 8700.

Usually it's the other way around.

People usually never worried the gpu bottlenecking the cpu.

Ryzen 5700g @ 4.4ghz all cores | Asrock B550M Steel Legend | 3060 | 2x 16gb Micron E 2666 @ 4200mhz cl16 | 500gb WD SN750 | 12 TB HDD | Deepcool Gammax 400 w/ 2 delta 4000rpm push pull | Antec Neo Eco Zen 500w

Still there's the 10% :) Don't really think the video showed "Real" world enough, and one can never calculate different systems people may have. Many people are still using 2. - 4. gen core i3 i5 and i7's which surely can bottleneck 1000s series GPUs. But in this case, no GPU can indeed restrict a new 8700 :P

Hi guys!

Just registered to this forum, been watching Linus videos for over 2 months now because I'm building my first pc. I want to use it for light video editing, sound editing (since I'm a musician) and gaming.

I came across this bottleneck video that got me thinking...

Here is my build:

-AMD Ryzen 5 2600x (stock cooler for now)

-G.skill (2X8Gb) Trident Z DDR4 3200MHz

-ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F

-Samsung 250Gb 970 Evo Nvme M.2

-Seagate Barracuda 1Tb

-NOX URANO VX750W 80+ Bronze

First I thought: I'm not busting the bank so I'm pairing my AMD CPU with an AMD GPU, it'd be good to get an ASUS ROG STRIX RX580 (since my motherboard is already a ROG STRIX). What graphics card should I buy for this purpose? Is the ram's speed ok in this build? I'm kinda clueless since it's my first build. Am I doing anything wrong? Would you guys recommend getting a used GPU? Need help!

Thank you guys.
