Which is the best software to create a 3d representation of your PC

Go to solution Solved by Crunchy Dragon,

I believe LTT uses SketchUp for their 3D modelling.

Hi,

I am new so i m sorry for my bad English. I wanted to create a 3d representation of my pc which i m going to build so i can have an idea of how it would look like. Is there any software to do this. I would create a 3d of each part that i will be using and then i will combine them..

Also i saw linus using a software in This Video can you please tell me which software is this. Thank you. .

Linus used Sketchup Pro for that one.

I personally use Cinema 4D for all my 3D renderings but that is expensive.

They have moved to SolidWorks for their 3D Printing and laser cutting stuff (Linus says it in Rave PC build log, at 2:24 of YT version). Can't really blame them, SketchUp lost me after Trimble stopped providing free desktop version and only has browser version for free.

You do realize that creating a 3d representation of your PC would be EXTREMELY time consuming.

I would suggest using solidworks IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT OR HAVE ACCESS TO IT. Depending on your age you can qualify for a student version of autodesk products for free.

What I remember, you only have to sign up as a student, no need for a reference like solidworks. That's what I remember unless I'm losing my memory.
