R9 270x and i3 2120 bottleneck?

Go to solution Solved by NoRomanBatmansAllowed,

I'm guessing you watched the video today.

It shouldn't really, depending on what you do. But remember there is always a bottleneck in any system, otherwise there would be infinite performance.

I currently have an i3 2120 and an R7 250 in whch the GPU is showing it's age and I am thinking of buying an R9 270x but will it bottleneck my i3?

Want to know which mobo to get?

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

Going back a bit now but i used to have an i3 2120 paired with a GTX 670 and the CPU was a pretty serious bottleneck with that GPU, if that's any help.

Edit,  swapped it out with a used i5 2400, pretty cheap now. Solved the problem.
