Hi Mr Linus my name is David, I'm hoping you could make a video about air coolers that could fit into cases like the htpc form factor like (silverstone ml08, rvz03rgb,02,01and node 202). There are a few low profile cpu coolers out there but I'm not sure just if the older gen ones would provide the retention parts for AMD's am4 I'm sure as a small form factor lover like yourself wold love to try out all the different options out there, I only keep hearing noctua nh-l9aas an option I would love to see the other options other companies could provide like cm's m5 led or many other

Thank you hope you can help

Ps:if there are any water coolers would benefit too

I just searched for "noctua low profile am4" and got a ton of results, Noctua is great at what they do and is highly recommended overall, however if you don't want to go with noctua, you can do a search for "low profile am4 cooler" and get results, here are a couple links I've already found: Noctua and here's one from Cooler Master.

Scroll down to the graphs. Delta T is just the amount of temperature above room temp. It's the second worst performer in the lineup of coolers they tested, though the rest of the list is mostly tower coolers.

And this why I asked Mr Linus so he could put all the supported one into 1 video :)

@LinusTech Doesn't often answer direct questions, which is why some of us experienced Forum users are here to help answer questions. :)

Site comparisons are fairly common as well.

If I understand your thread properly, you’re asking about very small heat sinks.

There was a time that other may recall when LTT did a ton of videos about small cases & he talked about a lot of low profile heat sinks. I think he did a comparison between a few.

I guess I'm too young to have seen it, but I'm hoping to find as yo said smaller heatsinks compatible with amds new am4

These were for intel i7. They happened in the last 2-3 years. If you search mini itx LTT on YouTube, you should find it.

You get better responses by asking on forums. There's no point of buying anything too old as fans on newer ones are better. And manufacturers offer free mounting hardware for mainstream coolers. Also, there are sites who do written reviews of coolers, you should look at those. Chances of LTT doing video that is this specific is very slim. They might do cheap cooler round-up, as they are moving more and more towards being entertainment than real tech channel.

Well that's too bad I liked their older vids like when Mr Linus dropped tech and Mr Luke talked about different kinds of old tech, and when both of them did case reviews and motherboard reviews. They made sure you had a really good look what we're on the boards and in the cases. And they did different price range builds.for every generation that was how my cousin got into overclocking and messing with 2nd hand pc parts.

If it wasn't for Mr Luke's review on the coolermaster N200 I would have gotten that crap case with so many problems.

Top vent has specscfor 120 radiator but won't fit

Power cable cut out blocked by the top vent fan if you install one.

Gpu support bars on the back blocks the hdmi slots on the card if you use those fat hdmi cables.

Any cpu cooler bigger then the hyper 212 (example coolermaster v8 gts)  blocks the top vent and cracks the plastic window on the side panel because of its height.

My School buddy used the case

They chose to grow, expand and improve quality over keeping it simple. There are other channels who are still doing it how they did it 5 years ago. But also those who have decision to make. They have companies ready to shove in funds to grow, but their interests are still in making same kind of content. Jayz2Cens has talked about this in his videos.

I've watched some of Jay's vids too I love his tech talk, I miss luke the most for some weird reason.

I know there are afew others that do what they did but when I compared what Mr Linus did foaard r the asus z97 irx board to other youtubers his a much closer look close shots of the parts, the test he did making sure of the quality and testing the clearance of the riser boards with coolers.

I mean he was really... I don't know the word but it was like the doctors that checked out my uncle with the snake thing going up his ass. They made sure nothing was bad.
