NZXT S340 Elite, H700 or the H700i are what I recommend from NZXT. For Coolermaster decent cases include the H500 or any of its variants, with the H500P being probably the best choice because of larger fans. A budget alternative for Coolermaster would be the Masterbox Lite series.

Thanks alot, I will keep them in mind. DO you have any recommendations regarding these?

  1. For mouse and keyboard and speakers I am also having an issue, I like razer stuff, but I also want to sync my rig with Aura RGB, and the only ones that do so is ASUS mouse and keyboard and from what I hear alot that they are very bad. So just for general price estimates, I went for Razer Huntsman Elite RGB, Razer Mamba Elite RGB, Razer Nommo Chroma speakers.

Holy crap dude you can use it i mean like if you want too honestly go ahead but I've been like taught all my life never put water in a computer and then *poof* its like popular af. As long as the cooler supports the processor socket in this case its a am4 socket.

Most of my friends use it, due to the insane temperatures here, sometimes going up to 58 degrees Celsius, water cooling is a must haha

For airflow like I said the corsair 720p airflow editon is really quiet and is amazing for airflow and has a lot of room for fans and has all the bells and whistles and its kinda keeping that ergonomic vibe if your into that sort of thing ;)

My current code projects

--------------------------------

  • C#/OpenGL ( using OpenTK graphics library API ) KnightsRealm ( unfinished, WIP plan on releasing on steam maybe a mobile port idk ) 2d topdown pixel art based game with medieval themes, sorcery, dragons, open world
  • C++ crypter ( if your into cryptography, I plan on releasing this on my website later :P
  • C#/OpenGL ( OpenGL for UI ) fan/light controller for my room w/ raspberry pi and some mechanical motors and stuff :D

Current repair projects

------------------------------

  • My dreadful receiver ( a capacitor blew )
  • working on a PC from a client, CPU died within the system, seems like a short, replaced CPU and awaiting payment before I ship it back
  • my old 1tb sas drive for my NAS, some blemishes or something on the PCB need to clear that back out, if it doesn't work i'll need to scrap it ( already backed up all my stuff thankfully )

If you want any software made, or stuff to be repaired give me an email!

I have a strong distaste for Razer products, so my honest recommendation is going to be to avoid them. How's the market for Logitech peripherals? Their keyboards are very good and their mice are quite decent, though prone to double clicking in some models.

New Build (The Compromise): CPU - i7 9700K @ 5.1Ghz Mobo - ASRock Z390 Taichi | RAM - 16GB G.SKILL TridentZ RGB 3200CL14 @ 3466 14-14-14-30 1T | GPU - ASUS Strix GTX 1080 TI | Cooler - Corsair h100i Pro | SSDs - 500 GB 960 EVO + 500 GB 850 EVO + 1TB MX300 | Case - Coolermaster H500 | PSUEVGA 850 P2 | Monitor - LG 32GK850G-B 144hz 1440p | OSWindows 10 Pro.

Peripherals - Corsair K70 Lux RGB | Corsair Scimitar RGB | Audio-technica ATH M50X + Antlion Modmic 5 |

This is better, but they do not sell Ryzen here unfortunately. And don't you think I may need a 250 GBS M.2 for the OS only?

Swap the SATA SSD out for an Cruical MX500 500GB M.2 NVME drive for your OS. Costs the same as the SATA one the other user picked.

Also don't buy the EVGA G3. It's failed some overprotection testing recently and it may fail. The RM750x you had selected earlier would be better than the EVGA G3, though you will only need <550W for that build.

My thoughts on parts are as follows:

  1. Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor
  2. NZXT - Kraken X62 Rev 2 98.2 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
  3. Asus - ROG MAXIMUS X HERO (WI-FI AC) ATX
  4. G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
  5. Kingston 250GB M.2 Solid State Drive for OS only
  6. Kingston 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
  7. Seagate - Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
  8. Asus - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB STRIX
  9. Inwin - 805 Infinity ATX Mid Tower Case
  10. Corsair - RMx 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX
  11. NZXT - Aer RGB120 (3-pack) 61.4 CFM 120mm (Extra Fans)

That Inwin Infinity is a very expensive case? It's listed at over $300 on PCpartpicker. I've swapped it in for the Inwin Black case as it is half the price, but I normally don't like recommending cases since it's an aesthetics and personal taste thing, though I would recommend you having a look around for something more reasonably priced than the Inwin Infinity. Your money so it's up to you, but worth considering.

In addition to gaming, I do a lot of rendering for my engineering work, and I also do video editing in my free time for extra cash, therefore I need a screen with a lot of real estate.

I've left the monitor out, but you should look for a 4k colour correct monitor rather than a 1440p 144hz gaming monitor which might not have the truest of colours. 4k will give you a lot more real estate to work with (it's 4x 1080p monitors).

I've also swapped the 4x8GB memory out for 2x16GB memory that way you have more DIMM slots available if in the future you need to upgrade memory beyond 32GB for your engineering work.

As for keyboards, if your doing typing a lot the cherry mx blues are a dream to type on but if your doing gaming as well cherry mx browns are really good, if you like razer thats good and all and I have some friends that really like em as well but Im only buying razer laptops or there mice if I'm buying anything from razer. my favorite mice from razer is there death adder elite so if you go with any other razer mice go with that and as for the huntsman elite that you talked about I've never really tried it so i can't give my opinion on it yet. I would consider it for in between gaming and typing so i would say its good.

Wow your choices are quite limited then :P

Steelseries peripherals are considered to be very decent, though I personally had a horrible experience back in 2011 regarding my old Steelseries 7G keyboard in which they refused to honor the warranty when the keyboard began to give out after only 11 months of use. I treated the keyboard extremely well and there was no evidence of user-caused damage, but they still declined the claim.

I resolved to never purchase another Steelseries product again, ever.

Thanks alot for taking the time to post this.

My desk space is limited so I can have either one large Ultrawide monitor, or two slightly smaller ones, like 2 x 27" ones.

About the RAM, I do small scale engineering work so I doubt I will be using above 32 GBs of ram.

For the case, I want something that also looks nice as well as perform good, I live in the hottest country in the world so airflow is the biggest priority here, you recommend particular cases that are not corsair (as the market here doesn't really like this brand for some reason)

Sorry, when I said 4k = 4x 1080p monitors I meant that the resolution was 4x that of 1080p monitors, not the physical size. The physical size of the monitor is whatever size you buy it in. From what you've described, it sounds as if something like a 32" HDR 4k monitor (colour accurate) would be ideal for you. (I'm not too familiar with colour correct monitors for editing, so it might be worthwhile asking over on the monitor board for more help).

What country are you in? Might help us find parts that are available.

As for the peripherals, I'd personally stay away from Razer products. They look beautiful, but their warranty periods aren't that great, often the minimum that the local laws require, and in my personal experience the build quality on a lot of the products isn't great either.
Can't speak for ASUS peripherals, haven't used them personally and I don't know much about them.

In that case the Coolermaster H500P case I mentioned earlier is probably the best option for you. That case has excellent airflow thanks to its dual 200mm front mounted fans.

You still can with the Mesh. The problem with the glass front panel is it heavily restricts the air that those 2 large intake fans can draw in. It's a well documented issue and it's why Coolermaster released the Mesh version to address those issues.

Just now, mkamalo said:

Doesnt mesh means that both sides dont have glass?

No, it's just the front intake panel that is replaced with a mesh grill. The side panel is still tempered glass.

Here's a look at the H500P Mesh

You still can with the Mesh. The problem with the glass front panel is it heavily restricts the air that those 2 large intake fans can draw in. It's a well documented issue and it's why Coolermaster released the Mesh version to address those issues.

No, it's just the front intake panel that is replaced with a mesh grill. The side panel is still tempered glass.
