Games crashing constantly

Valked_

I just got a used 970 yesterday and I wanted to try it out. I opened up Fortnite, played for a few minutes, then crashed. I got a Windows notification saying "Display Driver Failed To Start". I Googled it and said I should update my drivers. I am already on the latest drivers and latest Windows 10 update. I also occasionally get a BSOD or my PC just completely freezes and I have to force shut it off. I've tried uninstalling my drivers and reinstalling them but that didn't work. I've ran Cinebench twice and got around 70 FPS without a crash. None of my components are overclocked. Someone please help.

Edit: Just ran Aida64 stability test and got a BSOD.

Specs:

Ryzen 3 1200

GTX 970 ACX 2.0

8gb DDR4

i would recommend using display driver uninstaller (follow their steps) once it cleans everything out, reinstall the latest geforce drivers and see how things go.

If you're on the most recent drivers and still getting problems, I would start by uninstalling using DDU and trying a slightly older driver.

It sounds a bit like your GPU may be a little bit faulty though...

Okay, I'll try going to older drivers. Thank you.

It has almost no dust and I constantly check temps. When I boot into windows the fans don't turn on and stay at around 50C and while gaming the fans do turn on and go to a max of 75C. What's the normal temps it should be at?

Ok well id aida is crashing your system the problem might not be related to your gpu alone. Going to need more detailed specs ie screens with hwinfo that show temp cpu clocks voltages ect...

Yea it could be something else because I had a GT 430 before this card and had the exact same problems.

Okay. I also ran a WhoCrashed test and said it was something with the Nvidia drivers.

It was on both. I just ran it again and it said "Hardware Failure Detected" and stopped the stress test. My PSU is a CX 450M 450 watt bronze certified.
