"Chassis Intruded! System Halted...." error with CMOS Errors

Hello!

i'm having this weird issue with my computer. i built it yesterday and i got the error but with a bit of troubleshooting, i got it to work by accident, so in other words, i got it to work but i don't know how i did it.

i think changed the CMOS battery to a brand new one but now it wont work. Please help!

In the BIOS there should be a setting that let's you Enable | Disable Chassis Intrusion. Make sure it's disabled and see if the error persists.

i cant access the BIOS, it has blocked me out

if i try to get into BIOS it goes to the same screen

Reset the BIOS either a button or a jumper, that should reset it so you can get in. And' as Windows7ge said disable the chassis intrusion detection.

Chassis intrusion depends on two pins being shorted on the motherboard. If you can locate those pins and short then it should also stop the error at least so you can get into the BIOS to disable it.

 

Really Chassis Intrusion is meant to be a feature. Besides telling you after the fact that the chassis had been opened I can't say how useful it really is.

how does one short the chassis intusion pins? i found the pins i need to short but i dont know how to short them.
