I made a post about this and got about %50 of the answers i needed. I am just confused on the whole process of reactivating windows 10 pro. I have my activation key linked to my account, and i know my boot drive. My questions are what are the steps to reactivating windows on a new motherboard? Do i just plug everything in to my new mobo and it will just boot to the desktop? Will it ask for my activation key like it did when i first installed windows? Do i set up my boot drive before i go to the desktop? :/

If you have the key linked to a Microsoft account then I believe all you have to do is login when it asks you to activate.

Insert the disc, boot drive or whatever bootable storage device you have Windows on and follow the steps as they are presented. When prompted, input the licence code and if required you may have to get Windows to re-activate the code for a difference machine. How the system checks it is via motherboard, so you can swap every component except the motherboard and suffer no issues with Microsoft windows licencing. I believe there is a chat function on their web site or something, but you may have to call them.
