I am going to lay down the problem and what im looking for and hope some people can help me. This is a bit of strange situation a buddy of mine is making 3D animation and he is in desperate need of a new pc however he has only about 350 $ rn. He NEEDS a system he can use to make more animation which will get him more money so he can get a much better system. However until he has at least 1000 he can't really do much do much. Can someone suggest a pc that could work for him? ? He wants prebuilt if possible prity much any system with a descent processor and 8+ gigs of ram should be ok. Another thing is he wants to upgrade it as he gets money but im not sure if this is possible with cheep pre built systems. I hope someone can find a solution iv been looking into this a lot with not much luck so hopefully some of you know better than me.

Cheers,

Cheap PC with lots of space for upgradability. Just drop the case as its not really neccesary and you can pick up on later or just get one cheap used.

The SSD will offer some space for now but it will be fast. Add an HDD later on

CPU upgrades and GPU upgrades will be no problem for this base system

Hey I just looked at Newegg and found that https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=9SIA8WV5MP1197

You should just get the 1 gb ddr3 variant and upgrade it with used RAM of ebay. That would be much cheaper than the RAM newegg sells

Without any graphical horsepower, making animations would be difficult. Not to mention, this form factor can be restrictive to upgradability. I agree with the PC parts build above since it packs way more punch

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

A Ryzen 2200G bassed system would be his best bet.

At such a tight budget he should build it himself.

A prebuild 'new' system with that kinda budget isnt really an option.

Is he getting one of these? You didn't say to make a build to accommodate a pre-acquired graphics card.

No he needs a a PC that he can animate on rendering can be done by myself or others. But the pc needs to be like 300 or less if possible.

Perhaps I don't understand the workload, but if he's doing the animation on his system, doesn't he need to render it there too? What kind of animation is it? If it's 2D, what resolution? If it's 3D, he needs more than integrated graphics, no doubt.
