I use Cortana for having it read received SMS on my phone while driving, and able to send replies.

Never failed on me. Beside when I say a time like "I'll be there around 7-7:30", it writes: "I'll be there around 7730", but easy to go around. Maybe Google might be better now, well try and see.

I have a problem with the polling options.  You forgot to include Amadeus aka Makise Kurisu AI.

I have an Insignia Speaker and a Google Pixel with Google Assistant, and an Echo Dot. I love them both, and they both suck.

Problems with Alexa:

  • I constantly accidentally trigger my Dot with the "Alexa" wake word, and there's no way in hell I'm using the "Computer" wake word.
  • Fails to recognize what I'm saying a good 10% of the time.
  • Stumbles with answering a majority of the questions I ask.

Problems with Google Assistant:

  • Struggles with home automation and music playback prompts and complains when I change my playback device on Spotify.
  • Struggles to differentiate my voice when playing music.

I use them both interchangeably, usually calling for Google Assistant when Alexa proves to be incapable. When you know each of their capabilities, they can be pretty smart when used together.

"Echo" has the same problem with "Computer", especially since it's in the same room I usually game in. If it's a word that I actively use while around the device it's not a great replacement. The "Alexa" wake word would be perfect if it wasn't triggered by odd words like "Deluxo", the flying car from GTA V.

I only use Alexa to build my "smart home system". The biggest problem is that: Alexa is not always working when I call it and it can be easily triggered...LOL

For me I never use any "Smart Assistant" just because they are not very smart, how about you?

I dont use them because they represent an invasion of privacy by scumbag companies. I dont trust Amazon, google, apple or microsoft at all.
