PC struggles to display.

HunterScott

Hey all,

After upgrading my CPU yesterday, my computer has been playing up slightly.

After installation, my computer acknowledged that the CPU had been changed and booted into BIOS. I checked all the settings and everything seems okay. Upon exiting the BIOS and booting, I was greeted by a black screen and the lights on my keyboard turned off. I had to force shut-down the PC, which then booted the PC into safe mode, from there I selected my boot drive and it booted into windows.

The same thing has happened just now - turning on my PC results in a black screen.  The RGB in my machine is illuminated and you can hear that the PC is on, but the lights on my KB aren't illuminated. To get into Windows I have to force shut down my PC so that I can reach the BIOS and select my boot drive to boot from.

My boot priority hasn't changed and show's the storage that contains my OS as the priority.

I'm a bit stumped really!

Just to add, I thought that maybe the GPU was suffering. Once booted, the GPU is absolutely fine. I've run a couple of benchmarks and health checks and all seems a-ok.
