UPGRADING RAM

I have 2 2gig sticks of gskill ddr3 memory so in total 4gigs.

I want to upgrade my pc to 8 gigs of ddr3 memory.

Should I just by another 4gigs of the same ram?

Or should I buy a diffrent 2 stick 8 gigabyte kit ?

2x4gb or 4x2gb if u have 4 slots

Get a 2x4GB kit if you have no use for ram above 8GB. It makes no sense to stress out your memory controller if you don't have to with all slots populated.

I am just gonna buy the same ram because I don't need more than 8 gigs.
