Problem when tagging users

I've had this problem for a bit, and it's a new issue as before I used to be able to simply hit space bar a couple of times and it would exit the tag.

So, if I were to take someone, and then go back to edit a different part of the post, then go back to writing, the cursor gets stuck within the tag box and I'm unable to do anything else.

I can't hit space bar to get past the tag box, I can't delete the tag box. Also, if I decide I don't want to tag someone, I can't delete that either.

I had this exact same issue when using Firefox on Android.

Switching to a different browser solved this issue for me. (I use Brave now).

 

But I dont experience this issue on PC (using Vivaldi).

Aye, I should probably mention I use Firefox...and honestly I'm not going to switch browsers to cater to one feature of a website

My partial fix for that was that whenever I tagged someone, I started to type right away instead of trying to exit the tag box.

That usually resulted in typing outside of the tag box automatically... the key word is "usually" though.

Yeah, it's definitely something I should start doing, but sometimes I forget. It'd be nice if they fixed it so that it worked properly though....especially since it didn't do that before.

Yeah, I encountered various issues with different browsers over time.

 

For example, for the longest time if I browsed reddit with the Vivaldi borwser and opened any redit video. There was about a 70% chance that the entire browser will freeze and crash. (luckily, it seems to be fixed now... after several months).

Then I had an issue with Edge, Chrome, Vivaldi on this forum that whenever I quoted someone and started typing, everything I typed would suddenly got deleted if I hit ENTER to make a new paragraph. (fixed now as well).

That's brutal. The issues seem so odd to me.

I used Edge for a month to test it out (over a year ago).

It was snappy and definitely a lot better than IE with some nice minor features like a night mode or snipping tool....

 

But oh god... 

WHY does it have to move the adress bar from the very top to the middle of the screen when you open a new tab?

I havent got used to it even after a month...

 

I also dislike the way it renders fonts and the addons I use were at the time not available for Edge.

 

I'll just stick to Vivaldi and its tab stacking, quick web panels and other power user features.

I can reproduce that, but I can also escape from it by pressing the right arrow key. Does that work for you?

It's still a bug either way, but at least you would have a workaround that doesn't involve not leaving tags at the end of the lines that you're still working on.
