Most boards with DDR2 would have the slots filled...because 2GB sticks are expensive AF unlike 1GB sticks.

Not exactly. Essentially this is just a M.2 SATA to SATA adapter, pulling power from the DDR2 slot. Completely pointless as it specifically requires a DDR2 slot. And even if you have a DDR2 system, why would you even want to use this? There are already adapters that turn a M.2 drive to your typical 2.5" SSD form factor. That product is just pointless. 

In addition, I don't even know if taking power from the DDR2 slot to power a M.2 drive and the adapter is even safe. Most memory modules are at most around 1.55Vs. Don't know the exact voltages of the M.2 standard, but SATA power mainly replies on 15V with the 3.3V pins rarely being used.
