Higher bitrate on Youtube

If I have a normally 1080p video but export it as 4K with a much higher bitrate will it use the higher bitrate setting on Youtube? Thanks. Otherwise is there a platform that support better videos? Vimeo limits it to 500mb per week for the free account. But it does accept H.265 so that's really a huge file I guess

If you export a 1080p video to 4k and then upload, it will use the 4k bitrate when you look at the video with the 4k setting on YouTube.

Ok is it only at the 4K setting then it's at 25mb/s I think or something around that?

Recommended upload bitrate for 4k 30p YouTube is 35-45 Mbps, but that's for it to be enough data for YouTube compression to do it work, but still look good.

 

When watching, if so can remember right, it's somewhere between 13-20 Mbps or something like that, don't quote me on that tho. Might depend on The video.

As far as I know YouTube always recompress videos. It's what they must do, it's too many of them for leave user's compression. If you want to store videos as you want, own virtual serwer is the only realiable option. I may be wrong, but I really want to see any video public sharing portal where you can download video and it will be the same file as you uploaded.
