How long of a pci-e riser cable do i need ?

I'm gonna get the thermaltake view 71 case and want to use the vertical gpu mount.But i see the riser cables go from 200mm up to 1000mm,How long do i really need?

200 meters to 1000 meters...wat.

I'd say 20 centimeters should be enough, tho I'm not sure about this case specifically.

200mm aka 20cm should be fine, could get a 300mm aka 30cm one just to be on the safe side

 

also if you have a ATX board with multiple 16x slots you can always use the lower 16x slot on the motherboard (less distance for the riser cable)
