Posted July 8, 2018 If your using a dedicated Gpu then i3 8100, if not Ryzen 2200g the i3 8100 will won't bottleneck gpus until you reach the high end so pairing it with a 1070 won't have the effects you would with a 2200g I may be wrong. Posted July 8, 2018 Personally I'd go with Intel, as I've had issues with Ryzen not liking memory. Intel has always taken whatever I've thrown at it. If you're actually building a new PC, the APU can probably hold you over until next gen GPUs are out and you get more for your money. Unless he has fast memory the apu isnt reaching its full potential, plus if you motherboard doesn't come with the right bios he'll have to ask AMD for a boot-kit. it's like air vs water-cooling. An Aio has many points of failure. I may be wrong. Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/945668-gaming-cpu-poll/#findComment-11515525 Share on other sites
 Coffee lake also benefits from fast RAM, didn't used to be the case I don't think before DDR4 I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...
