CX750M super loud

bobojr

My CX750M is super loud even though my computer draws about 388 watts. This only started happening after I installed a new SSD, however before all of this my computer was extremely silent. The attached file is a recording of the noise I am describing.

This is my PC specs'

EDIT

I have removed the SSD and confirmed that it indeed starts when I add the SSD (Samsung 860 Evo) when I play for about 15 ish minutes then the PSU acts up with the SSD, but without it is completely silent.

All you did was install an SSD?

Are you sure something didn't fall into the PSU that's hitting the fan?

Yeah no, it only starts making this noise after it has been on for about 15 minutes or so, and this is when I leave it completely idle too. There is also no obvious stress on my PC when I look at task manager.

Something has changed other than just the SSD.

Doesn't make sense that all you add is an SSD and all the sudden the PSU runs hotter (PSU's fan is thermostatically controlled) causing the fan to run faster.

I don't know. Is there anything I could have bumped that would mess it up?

Maybe that SSD just went a little over the mark for the PSU or something so that it had to ramp up the power and in turn the fan

That's really weird.  SSD's don't use that much power.  Like, 1/3 of a watt.

What else is on the SATA cable that is powering the SSD?

WD 1 terabyte hard drive and a Samsung 850 Evo 500 gig SSD

Is it possible the hard drive is using most of the power since it is has moving parts?

I'm wondering if the resistance of too many things on a single SSD are causing enough of a voltage drop for the PSU to want to compensate and therefore overheat.

So you've unplugged the SSD from the SATA and the fan is quiet again.  What if you plug the SSD into a different SATA cable?
