Why no gaming laptop/notebook sub-forum?

MikeTheVike

Not sure if this is right place to post, but I just thought I'd throw this out there anywhere.

I just feel as though there should be a gaming notebook sub-forum or whatever it is called or even just a laptop/notebook sub forum. Its tech related and lots of people are interested in gaming laptops and the like (I'm one of those people).

Just saying my opinion, this is a tech forum and I feel a laptop category would be great. Reviews, discussion of new laptops, laptop graphics cards etc. etc.

If you talk about Gaming Notebooks here... You will only get the hate. Because most people here don't believe in "gaming laptop". Why? Heck If I know..

Yea I don't really know the answer. I guess people don't think of the value of portability and instead only look at benchmarks and cost in comparison to desktops.

Ok I understand, I don't really think of gaming notebooks when I read Mobile Gaming... I think phones, tablets etc. as description says.

mobile devices is where you go because a gaming laptop is mobile...

Laptops are mobile, so it would be fitting to be in mobile gaming. Gaming laptops are nice, but you overpay for something that can't perform like a desktop. A gaming laptop is like buying a console on ebay during it's launch

Yes I figured that out now. Again when reading description they made it seem like mobile devices meaning phones and tablets. And you don't really use laptops when you are "mobile", laptops are just portable. I think mobile as when you're on the move.

I understand you... Calling laptop mobile gaming is like calling iPhone a gaming console (its not wrong, but it doesnt feel right.)

Probably not a big enough topic to be stand alone.  I guess there's not a huge amount of people with them

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.

There is an entire forum (notebookreview forum) dedicated entirely to laptops and notebooks... there is a market and community for them.

My bad guess Im not to much into the notebook side of things. I guess I meant on the linustech database.  But again I may be wrong
