3Ds max rendering

Hello,

I need some help with a suitable graphic card for my pc. I have an Intel i7 8700 paired currently with an ASUS 710 2gb card. I am not happy with the rendering speed for my 3D interior design for homes. This is my sole purpose for using the pc. 3D modelling and rendering.

The onboard graphics of the i7-8700 are more powerful than your GT710 video card ;)

And judging by this list: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/sites/default/files/file_downloads/3dsmax2018GFX_ResultsJun2018.pdf

you should be able to pick up a 2nd hand Quadro like the K2000 no problem, or a more recent consumer card.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

Tbh, someone who can afford an i7-8700 system shouldn't have $0 left for a GPU lol. But you're right. We don't know yet.

I mean we could go balls to the walls with a GP100 but yeah it all comes down to how much he wants to spend

And How much he really needs to render

If OP is only doing small time work he doesnt need to go balls to the wall GP100 (I know you werent seriously suggesting it, just using it as an example)

it's possible to get a P1000 quadro for $330 ($255 on ebay) which seems to be as powerful as the K4200 from the couple of review comparison ive seen (not on 3DS max though) or the P2000 for about $430
