Alright so I need a new cooler, the stock ryzen cooler has been in use for far too long.

Which would you choose and why? and any reviews comparing them would be extremely helpful.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 33 eSports Edition.

Phanteks PH-TC12DX.

ID Cooling FrostFlow 280.

I'd off up another suggestion entirely, cooler master master liquid 240 lite. cheap in comparison, but still very good cooling I have found. My 1700 doesn't go above 55C (summer) even Oc'ed fairly hard, currently running at 3.85Ghz all cores. Temp reading is when benchmarking and stress testing. Real world use I rarely see it go above 50C

I'd agree on that however I'm limited to a 140 or 280 AIO due to current fans in use.

Ahh I see, well it was worth a shot. It comes with fans BTW, but they CAN be a bit rattle-ish at times, I swapped mine out for some ML-120 fans, only £20 for a pair and really nice fans. So would be £63 if you changed the fans and got the 240.

Arctic and Phanteks could be compared, however Phanteks is rather old, and you might not find AM4 mounting for it (not to mention I doubt there's any direct comparison between it and any newer coolers like Freezer). ID Cooling products are still rare in English speaking markets so good luck finding reviews on their AIOs.

Are you limited to these coolers, and if so, why?

There are articles saying that Phanteks will provide AM4 mounts for their existing coolers with proof of purchase for the cooler and motherboard.

Direct comparisons between them aren't very common due to differences in age and category.

Relative performance here:

The Frostflow+ is listed but not the Frostflow 280. For the time being, I'd assume they're pretty similar.

What cpu, ram, and case are you using and why are you looking at these coolers in particular? Where are you shopping / located?

So it seems. Though it might be long wait since retailers don't have any at stock.

Basically I'm all set for a black & white theme so sticking to a mix of those colours is a must but I am not limited to these coolers whatsoever, just some requirements to meet. As mentioned a mix of black & white, to fit my S340 and I'm able to shop UK online stores.

Whoops, forgot that part somehow. :D
Ryzen 1600, Hyper X and £50 is my budget.

It seems like the eSports ONE is probably the best value: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/yHNv6h/arctic-freezer-33-esports-one-blackwhite-cpu-cooler-acfre00043a

Any more would probably be overkill for the 1600.
