When will successors to 1000 series be released?

I wonder if I should wait and fall back on my hd 6670 for a while. There's a ton of less demanding games that will run just fine.

why not use the GTX 670?

750Ti is a solid choice, and is very cheap when bought used. Can be found for around $40 and will give you decent 1080p performance, similar to a GT1030, which is much more expensive.

hold your bullets, current Nvidia GPUs are waaaay over extended since AMD didn't pressure enough with their products down to consumer grade.

absolutely.

We are at the very end of the 1000 GPUs. You should hold until the new gen comes out, which is due in a month aprox. before even thinking about buying a replacement.
