will this rgb strip work with msi z370i itx?

IAnthonyFX

I am thinking on buying this thing https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-10M-60LED-M-Light-Strip-SMD5050-RGB-IP65-Waterproof-Bright-Lamp-DC12V/272296812762?var=571126154902
it is 5050, 12V, less than 2 meters as far as the motherboard manual says it can withstand properly. would it not work for some reason?

Yes that will work but note the density of the LED strips (60LED/M), as a single SMD5050 RGB chip uses around 0.24W. A 2M length will take 28.8W or 2.4amps(12V). Make sure the header on the motherboard is capable of supply the needed amperage for driving all those lights, an alternative is to get a lower density light strip which will take less amperage.
