BF4 switches screens

this may be a stupid question or a valid one

 

i finished building my first pc today, with windows 8.1

 

i have 3 moniotors but only play on the center one. 

 

when im playing bf4 in center monitor and turn of the left or right screen the game switches to a different screen, this seems odd to me since this never happened on my win 7 machine, 

 

help if you can, may be stupid my be not
