Should i get a i7 8700 or 8700k

Hey so should i get a i7 8700k or a 8700 for gaming and professional video editing.

I am planning on getting the 1080ti with 32 gigs of ram.

Pls help me :)

Get the 8700k if you want to overclock. As your spending that much on your pc, it wouldn't hurt to spend a tiny bit more and get a 8700k for the extra performance.

Ask yourself one questions, do you want to overclock?

 

If Yes, Then get the 8700k

 

If no, then Get the 8700. 

 

That simple.

It depends if you want to overclock or not, that said if you want to overclock then 8700 k should be your choice if not then the 8700 also if you want to overclock just check that your motherboard is compatible with overclocking unless you want to fry your motherboard
