Overheating

Go to solution Solved by xAcid9,

Cap the game at 60fps or turn on Vsync, doubt you need more than that.

Hi Guys, so I am started playing Jurrasic World and my 1080ti is hitting 80c.

I play on an ultra wide but this seems really hot for I would say it not a very taxing game.

Any ideas?

What's your case?

Oh Mesh C

Your GPU is probably just targeting 80C, put your fan speed to 100% if you want lower temps

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Try setting a slightly more aggressive fan curve.

Use the aggressive fan curve in the software. It is loud, but usually works wonders.

Turn up fans. Poor airflow makes open air coolers perform bad. Especially with default fan profiles.

I know, its just one of those things I guess.

To be honest I do not like my cards running hotter than like 70c so when I get 80c i get nervous even tho I know its fine.

It lets it run at 80c for lower fan noise.
